Dark Mobius - Cutlass' Recommendation[1] is a short story set in the pre-Super Genesis Wave Archie Sonic the Hedgehog canon, which was written by Ian Flynn and published on the Archie Sonic blog on May 16, 2011.
The story is presented as a letter sent from Cutlass Depardieu to Jani-Ca in the Dark Mobius timeline, and serves as both a prequel to the Sonic Universe "Silver Saga" arc which ran from Sonic Universe #25 to #28, and as a companion to the other Dark Mobius blog stories.

- This is the man I told you about the last time we spoke. I'm including this letter of introduction because, to be honest, I doubt he'll present himself well.
- I know he can be tempermental[sic], and I know he will try your patience, but I ask you give him your sympathies. He has seen more hardship than many of us, and that's saying something.
- He is amazingly brilliant and knows of a medical technique that is sure to save some lives. It's a dangerous technology, and he's loath to use it, but I've convinced him it's truly for the greater good.
