Sniper bird archers.

— Description, Sonic the Hedgehog Encyclo-speed-ia

Aroro[1] (アロロ[2]?) is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a mass-produced, bird-based Badnik created by Dr. Eggman.

Appearance[]

The Aroros resemble birds with an orange spherical torso with two large blue feet and white round hands. Their head is a smaller orange sphere with a pointy yellow beak, two cartoonish eyes and two quills on their back.

Overview[]

In Sonic Labyrinth, the Aroros can only be encountered in Labyrinth of the Castle 4-1. In this Zone, the Aroros are stationed on platforms out of Sonic's reach, making it impossible to attack them. They mainly serve to create barriers with their arrows so the player is at risk of taking damage when performing reckless movements. In gameplay, the Aroros have a simple attack pattern: they regularly shoot arrows in one straight direction from a stationary position, with a few seconds between each shot.

Powers and abilities[]

The Aroros possess some skills in archery as they are able to use bows effectively. They are immobile, however.

Weapons[]

Each Aroro carries a blue bow with a white string which they use to launch arrows at their targets.

Trivia[]

  • The Aroros look somewhat similar to the Penguinators from Sonic the Hedgehog 3, with the major differences between the two being their different colors, as well as the Aroros possessing a weapon unlike the Penguinator.
