The Brain Scrambler is an object that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It is a gun-like device owned by the Crimson Cobra. It is simple design with just one button, but it has the power to alter a person's thought process and take away all rational control from them.

History[]

The Brain Scrambler was used by the Crimson Cobra in 1999 for a scheme to discredit the already-unstable Chaotix Crew in the public eye so he could take over the entire Special Zone without opposition.

After mutating Vector the Crocodile into a monster, the Crimson Cobra used the Brain Scrambler on Mighty the Armadillo and Espio the Chameleon, heightening their animosity until they began a destructive fight.[1][2] While the rest of the Chaotix were arrested by the military, the Brain Scrambler was used by the Crimson Cora on Charmy Bee, the only Chaotix still free, to turn the bee insane. However, the plan backfired when Charmy's unique insanity gave him an idea that defeated the Crimson Cobra's plans for good.[3]

Trivia[]

  • The weapon changed from green/red to solid white between issues.
