The Brobdingnagian Fungi is a fungus that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. They are a species of giant mushrooms that grow in abundance in the Mushroom Hill Zone on Angel Island.[1]
Description[]
The Brobdingnagian Fungi are colossal agaric-type fungi which can grow to colossal proportions. Besides their size, they are characterized by their red pilei with yellow spots and white stipes.[1]
Trivia[]
- Brobdingnag is a reference to the fictional peninsula inhabited by giants in Johnathan Swift's novel Gulliver's Travels.
- The Brobdingnagian Fungi are based on the similar fungi from Mushroom Hill in the Sonic the Hedgehog series.
