...Wait, you're saying her Chao are made of cheese and chocolate?
No! Their names are "Cheese" and "Chocola"! I mean, you called yours "Crusher," of all things.
It makes him feel important.

Razor the Shark and Amy Rose, Sonic the Hedgehog #260

Crusher the Chao is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is Razor the Shark's pet Chao.

Appearance[]

Crusher is a green and black-colored, Dark swim-type Chao. Like other Dark Chao, Crusher has a green spiked-ball floating above his head. Crusher has eyes with blank white pupils and a blue sclera. He also has green bat-like wings.

History[]

Past[]

Accordingly, Crusher was a crybaby Chao that fell through the roof of the Eusebes Shrine grounds and ended up in the Chao Garden.[1] He would eventually become Razor the Shark's pet Chao and adopt a much more fierce personality.

Shattered World Crisis[]

Act One[]

Chao Post-SGW

Crusher with Razor

During the Shattered World Crisis, Sally Acorn had sent Sonic the Hedgehog, Amy Rose, and Rotor the Walrus to a possible location of a Gaia Temple. Coral the Betta, who knew of the Freedom Fighters' presence, had sent Razor the Shark and Crusher to find and escort the three Freedom Fighters to the Eusebes Temple located at outskirts of the under-water city Meropis near the Gaia Temple. Using the Air Charm, the three Freedom Fighters traveled underwater with Razor and Crusher to the shrine. Coral, Pearly the Manta Ray, and Razor had decided to let the Freedom Fighters stay the night, as the next morning they would soon be ambushed by Captain Striker the Mantis Shrimp and the Meropis City Guard in order to see why the heroes were "trespassing" sacred land.[2]

Crusher and Razor later joined other citizens of Meropis in watching the Chaos Emerald Championship and betting on the outcomes of each match. While Razor predicted Nack the Weasel's victory over Bean the Dynamite and Knuckles the Echidna's victory over Amy, Razor failed to anticipate Nack's loss to Knuckles, and was thus forced to hand over his winnings to Pearly, which angered Crusher.[3]

Act Two[]

RCO015 Meropis

Crusher, Razor, Coral and Pearly oversee the world's restoration, from Sonic the Hedgehog #287.

Sometime later, Crusher listened in on a live broadcast being held by Sonic and Sally Acorn.[4] He also watched the world get restored by Chip alongside Coral, Pearly and Razor.[5]

The Case of the Pirate Princess[]

After the events of the Crisis, Crusher agreed to Razor to look for Princess Undina, who had been denounced as missing, since she had felt sorry for Coral. The two undertook their search to recover the missing princess, first looking at an area called Knives. He ran headlong towards Echo the Dolphin and the Chaotix, who was also looking for Undina. Both Echo and Vector the Crocodile considered it convenient that Razor be in waters infested with pirates. But before any questioning could be done, they were all discovered and trapped by a pirate submarine.[6]

Personality[]

Like the other Dark Chao, Crusher is very tough. But when he returned to the temple with to Razor, he was very happy.

Powers and abilities[]

As a Chao, Crusher can gain the traits of creatures to which it is exposed to as he grows. Once Crusher nears the end of his life-cycle, he can envelope himself in a cocoon and emerge as an egg, reborn as a new Chao with the traits he had in his past life.

Relationships[]

Razor the Shark[]

Crusher is close to Razor. The two are rarely ever seen apart from each other and they share a close bond.
