Eggman no Kazuate Panic! (エッグマンの かずあてパニック![3] Egguman no Kazuate Panikku!?, lit. "Eggman's Number Guess Panic!") is a mobile phone game released as part of the Sonic Cafe service offered by Sega. It was later made available through the Puyo Puyo! Sega service as well.[4]

Gameplay[]

In this game, the player works together with Tails as they must defuse bombs that have been laid by Dr. Eggman based on the hints that the fox gives out.[3] The game is over if the time runs out and the bomb explodes.

Gameplay is similar to the board game Mastermind, in which the player must guess a sequence of colored pegs by trial and error. In this case, the pegs are replaced with numbers. There cannot be the same number twice within any single code. Upon entering the guess, the player will receive the following responses from Tails:

  • Correct answer (正解[3] Seikai?): right number, right spot.
  • Misalignment (位置違い[3] Ichichigai?): right number, wrong spot.

The first stage features a two digit code, with each following level increasing this by one. The player can start on any stage without meeting any prerequisites.
