Gandar is a character that appears in the Sonic Underground television series. He was one of the first trainers of the Sonic Underground shortly after the group's reunion.

Appearance

It is never specified what species Gandar is, though he somewhat resembles a tailless lion. He is tall, muscular, has shoulder-length blond hair and a gap in his teeth. He wears a green piece of material held up by a belt to cover his abdomen, and two studded bands on his wrists. A large shoulder band resembling the two he wears on his wrists is slung over his left shoulder.

History

TV series

Season one

Gandar was put in charge of training the Sonic Underground to use their natural powers and skills. This included helping Sonic control his speed, teaching Sonic and Sonia how to perform a vertical spin and teaching Manic how to use drumsticks as large darts. After the hedgehogs had completed their training, Gandar sent them to a new trainer, using the forest to delay the pursuing of bounty hunters Sleet and Dingo.
