The Gun Hawk[1] (ガンホーク[2] Gan Hōku?) is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a robot deployed by the Guardian Units of Nations, and is a part of the Hawk Series.

Appearance[]

The Gun Hawk resembles a much larger version of a Gun Beetle. It has twin engines and spikes located underneath it and is armed with a projectile gun. These are the most basic of the Hawk series of robots.

Overview[]

The Gun Hawks appear as enemies in Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. It attacks by firing its gun while moving vertically to adjust its position and hurt the player with its spikes. Upon its destruction, the player is awarded 200 points.

In the Sonic X anime series, the Gun Hawk debuted in the Sonic Adventure 2 adaption saga. In this media, they were constructed after the Perfect Chaos incident to combat Dr. Eggman's forces. Some of them served as guards on Prison Island.
