The Illuma Shield Power Pack, known as the Super Plasma Shield in Japan, is an object that appears in the Sonic X anime series. It was a device created by Dr. Eggman.
Description[]
The Illuma Shield allowed the wearer to summon fields of plasma around themselves and utilize energy blasts like lightning to strike foes.

Metarex Saga[]
The Illuma Shield was worn by the Metarex commander, Yellow Zelkova when he battled with Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends, mainly Knuckles the Echidna. With it, he could deflect all his opponents' blows when it was active, but thanks to Sonic's quick thinking, the Illuma Shield was put out of action by channeling the electrical currents of lightning into Zelkova's mechanical body and the power pack, reducing both of them to scrap through the sheer power.
