Imperator Pir'Oth Ix[1] is a character in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He was the Imperator, or leader, of the Nocturnus Clan that joined the Second Downunda Colony efforts for then later to vanish into the Twilight Cage.
History[]
Ix was born hundreds of years ago and was the leader of the Advance Sciences caste from Albion who joined the Second Downunda Colony. Eventually arriving in Soumerca, the colonists began setting up ta settlement in País Misterioso, but ran afoul with the native Felidae. While the majority of the colonist wanted to leave to find other lands, Ix and his caste decided to stay and fight for their settlement with the warrior caste. Ix's caste would then become the Nocturnus Clan and the warrior caste became the Knuckles Clan.[1]
Shortly into the war, the Nocturnus Clan fought alongside the Knuckles Clan. However, a rift soon open between Ix and the Knuckles Clan's leader, Pachacamac, their ideological differences causing them to clash until Pachacamac waged war against the Nocturnus Clan as well. As the Knuckles Clan and the Felidae fought for the land, Ix pushed the Nocturnus Clan towards scientific advances to point where they could defeat the Knuckles Clan with little effort. No sooner, however, Ix and the Nocturnus Clan vanished into the Twilight Cage during the Argus Event.[1]
In the Twilight Cage, Ix and the Nocturnus Clan faced opposition from other hostile alien races trapped there. By applying their old tactics to their new home, Ix led his clan to conquest of the Twilight Cage, launching brutal raids against their neighboring alien races until Ix had all of the Twilight Cage in his thrall. When the Dark Legion arrived in the Twilight Cage, Ix and the Nocturnus Clan shunned and mostly ignored them due to their origins and their inferior technology.[1]
In the present day, Ix is reaching the power of the Twilight Cage, plotting to gain enough power to transport the entirety of the Twilight Cage to Mobius so he can conquer the planet and the rest of the universe.[1]
Trivia[]
- It was mentioned that Ix was an unlikely, though possible candidate for Enerjak predating Dimitri and Knuckles. This would later be proven false.
