Kabutoto[1] (カブトト[2]?) is an enemy that appears in Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a horseshoe crab-based Badnik created by Dr. Eggman. Only one Kabutoto was ever created.
Appearance[]
The Kabutoto is based on the horseshoe crab. Its body is colored crimson, while its tentacles are colored gray. It has light yellow fangs and seven tentacles, three appearing on each side while one appears on the Kabutoto's back.
Overview[]
In Sonic Labyrinth, the Kabutoto appears as an enemy exclusively in Labyrinth of the Sea 2-1. The Kabutoto has no attack pattern. In fact, there is actually only one in the game, which can be seen guarding a key for the second act of the second level, Labyrinth of the Sea. It can be destroyed via a Spin Dash from the player. However, this Kabutoto also blocks the way for the cannons in the level, leaving the player confused on how to reach the exit.
