Little Planet, sometimes called Miracle Planet, is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a tiny planetoid that appears over Never Lake once a year for one month.[1]
Description[]
Little Planet is steeped in mystery. It hosts a number of advanced urban settings that are perfectly integrated with their local environments. It is not known if anyone is living there, and if there is, they do not make themselves known. However, there are rumors that the planet could be home to a great and powerful owl spirit guardian, Nicholas O'Tyme, or a few elites called the Knights of Kronos, who guard Little Planet throughout time. However, neither of these rumors as yet to be confirmed.[1]
Little Planet hosts the seven Time Stones, relics that can reshape time, and was a closely guarded secret of Albion and has been watched over by its steward, the latest being Rob o' the Hedge, so the threat of invaders is low.[1]
Trivia[]
- Little Planet was first mentioned in the comics in Sonic the Hedgehog #194 by Mari-An when she said that "it's not supposed to be here for another week."
- Karl Bollers had planned an arc called "The Little Planet" that was to expand the adaption of Sonic the Hedgehog CD and the backstory of Amy Rose.[2]
- The backstory on Little Planet appears to be based on both the storyline in Sonic the Hedgehog CD and the episodes "Blast to the Past, Part 1" and "Blast to the Past, Part 2" in the Sonic the Hedgehog television series.
