The Marble Zone is a location that appears in Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It is a Zone on Mobius which is filled with lava deposits.

Description[]

The Marble Zone has pools of boiling lava everywhere with small isles situated in them, along with ancient ruins covered partially in overgrowth. It also has traps like crusher weights.[2]

History[]

The Marble Zone was one of the Zones Sonic the Hedgehog traveled through on his mission to secure the Chaos Emeralds before Dr. Robotnik.[3]

Some time after Sonic returned from another trip to the Marble Zone,[4] Tufftee ran off to there with an old pair of Sonic's Power Boots so he could fight Robotnik. However, he was captured and tormented by a gang of Badniks who planned to turn him into a Badnik with a Portable Badnik Processor. Fortunately, Sonic arrived in time to destroy the Badniks and save Tufftte, who in turn saved Sonic when he was about to be skewered by a local crusher weight trap.[2]

When Robotnik's Space Satellite fired a laser at the Emerald Hill Zone, Sonic sped through the Marble Zone on his way to intercept the laser.[5]

Trivia[]

  • Although it is mentioned that the Green Hill Zone and the Marble Zone are close to each other, Sonic still jumps through a Giant Ring in order to get there. It can thus not be verified of whether they are on the same island or not.
