The math robot[1] or mathematics robot[2] is a character that appears in the Sonic X franchise. It is a mass-produced robot model created by Dr. Eggman.
Appearance[]
The main variant of the math robot takes the appearance of a large, humanoid robot. Its head is mostly black with two lime-glowing eyes, as well as a brown helmet-like accessory on it. It has a lime belly with a red center that has a lighting symbol on it. its arms and legs are also brown and lime-colored.
A second variant of the math robot also exists in Math Robot Round-Up.[2] These math robots have the appearance of a blue and red spherical, small body with cartoonish black eyes and short legs and arms. They also carry a golden ring on top of them.
The math robots in Aerial Automations boast another unique design.[3] These math robots have dark green, small, spherical bodies, with wings of the same color. They also have small white eyes and two bulb-like features on their heads. Like the second variant, they carry a golden ring.
Overview[]
In Sonic X (Leapster), the math robots appear as the main enemies. In gameplay, they block many parts of the zones, making it impossible for the player to pass through. However, if the player manages to complete a mathematical problem that appears near a math robot, it will let the player pass, releasing short-circuit sparks from its head in the process.
A second variant of math robots appears exclusively in the mini-game Math Robot Round-Up. Here, the player must circle the right number of blue math robots to complete the mini-game.[2] The mini-game itself appears to take place inside a math robot.
A third variant of the math robots also appears in the mini-game Aerial Automations. Here, these math robots fly across the screen. The player must simply tap enough math robots to finish the mini-game.[3]
