The Metal Sonic Series is a group that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a series of Badniks built by Dr. Ivo Robotnik, and were later continued by Dr. Eggman. These robots are built in the image of Sonic the Hedgehog to serve as the doctors' own versions of Sonic, and are usually amongst their most powerful creations.
