The Newtron is a character that appears in the Sonic X comic series published by Archie Comics. It was a digital Badnik model found within a virtual reality world created by Dr. Eggman.
Appearance[]
Newtrons are purple robots based on chameleons. They have four limbs that protrude out of spherical shoulders and gray trimming around their necks and tails.

While in a virtual reality, Sonic the Hedgehog got encapsulated in a protective shield in Green Hill and attempted to outrun it. From there, a Newtron attempted to attack Sonic, but failed when a spring launched Sonic to safety.[1]
