The Outer Threat Immobilization System,[1] or O.T.I.S.,[1] is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is an artificial intelligence that serves as the primary defense computer for Station Square.
Appearance[]
Physically, the Outer Threat Immobilization System resembles a tall grey device of unknown size, with several flat pieces of metal plating it irregularly.[1]
History[]
Station Square Attacks![]
Designed to protect the city from the encroachment of threats such as the Eggman Empire, the Outer Threat Immobilization System took its duties to the extreme after being programmed with data on Dr. Eggman provided by the Knothole Freedom Fighters. It immediately targeted the city of Robotropolis with nuclear missiles, which would have been blocked by the city's defensive shield and wiped out Knothole in any case. Fortunately, Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails were able to delay the city's shield dome from erecting until after the missiles were within it, thus trapping the explosion within the force field and containing the radioactive fallout.[2][1]
Personality[]
The Outer Threat Immobilization System is extreme in its actions, originally operating on a defensive protocol, but instantly shifted to an offensive one and launched several nuclear missiles at Robotropolis upon receiving data on Dr. Eggman.[1]
Powers and abilities[]
The Outer Threat Immobilization System is capable of managing and activating the systems within Station Square.[1]
