Omletta is a character that appears in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog television series. She was created by Dr. Robotnik to serve as his robot wife.

History

TV Series

Season one

Having grown exasperated with Scratch and Grounder's incompetence as housekeepers, Dr. Robotnik decides to build a robotic wife to ensure he can live comfortably. After recapturing and disassembling his past creations Breezie and Robotnik Jr. to study their circuitry and ensure himself against yet another betrayal, Robotnik soon created his robot wife, naming her Omletta. Afterwards, Robotnik takes her on their honeymoon to Robotnik Falls, which he soon plans to turn into "Robotnik Cliffs" by getting rid of the water to ensure against Omletta potentially short circuiting. While there, however, Robotnik unfortunately treats Omletta as his own personal slave, abusing her much the same way he does with Scratch and Grounder. After some interference from Sonic the Hedgehog, Omletta ends up being splashed with water and immediately shorts out, causing her subservient personality to flip into a spiteful one. She instantly turns on Robotnik, seeking revenge for having treated her like a slave. She was last seen declaring her plan to tell the entire planet that Robotnik wears polka-dot underwear.

Trivia

• Omletta's design is a reference to the archetypal "Bride of Frankenstein" design, referencing the 1935 horror film of the same name.
• In "Sonic is Running", Wes Weasley, while acting as Robotnik's campaign manager for President of Mobius, creates an entirely new robot wife for Robotnik as a means of boosting his public image. An unsure Robotnik mentions his experience with Omletta, claiming "it didn't work out."
• Omletta's name is derived from the word Omelet, a food that is made of eggs. Thus, Omletta goes along with Robotnik's theme of everything being egg related.
• It is unknown why Omletta can be damaged by exposure to water, as none of Robotnik's other creations suffer from the same flaw.
