The Sniper Kukku[3] (消極的戦闘員[2] Shoukyokuteki Sentouin?, lit. "Passive Combatant") is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is an anthropomorphic bird foot soldier in the Battle Kukku Empire who uses firearms.
Appearance[]
Sniper Kukkus are anthropomorphic birds slightly taller than Tails. They have sharp orange beaks and feet, and a blue plumage. Their large heads are covered by emerald green helmets which are shaped like a shark fin and have black goggles. They also wear green torso armor and have blue spats on their feet.
Overview[]
In Tails Adventure, Sniper Kukkus appear as enemies. They are encountered in Coco Island and Battle Fortress 2.
In gameplay, Sniper Kukkus appear either in groups or individually. These enemies avoid direct confrontation and snipe from some very obvious hiding places; in Cocoa Island, they sit out in the open or in corridors and cubbyholes, while in Battle Fortress 2, they are positioned behind short walls so they can fire from small holes. When attacking, they quickly rise up every few seconds for a couple of more seconds to fire a projectile at Tails with their laser guns before ducking down again to repeat the pattern. If Tails is not close to them, they only duck up and down. While crouching, Sniper Kukkus are invulnerable to damage, so the player must wait for them to stand up before they become open to attacks from offensive items in the player's arsenal.
Like several other enemies in Tails Adventure, the Sniper Kukkus may drop a Ring upon being defeated.

The Sniper Kukkus have passable marksman skills.
Equipment[]
The Sniper Kukkus wears a thick set of armor which can protect them perfectly from harm when in the right position. Each also wields a laser gun for a weapon.
Trivia[]
- Battle Kukku 16th, the son of Great Battle Kukku wears a helmet similar to the Sniper Kukkus'.
