Penelope is one of Sonic's ancestors. She was a pink hedgehog who worked as a chili dog seller in ancient Mobigypt, which is how she met Masonic and fell in love.
History[]
Doctor Robotnik attempted to prevent Masonic from meeting Penelope, thus preventing Sonic from being born, by traveling back in time and kidnapping Masonic. Sonic and Tails prevented this plan, but inadvertently prevented the meeting themselves by cutting in front of Masonic to get some chili dogs themselves, leading Masonic to get bored of waiting and decide to get a falafel instead. Sonic was erased from history, but Tails quickly fixed everything by introducing Masonic and Penelope. They fell in love at first sight.
Shortly afterwards, Robotnik took control of Mobigypt and declared himself Pharaoh. He captured Sonic, Tails, and Masonic, forcing them to build pyramids in his honor. Penelope remained free, and spied on Robotnik. It was Penelope that learned that Robotnik was looking for the Chaos Emerald of Immortality in the Pyramid of Robotnikotep, and relayed this information to Sonic and Masonic.[2]
