The Beroro[1] (ペロロ[2] lit. "Peroro"?) is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a mass-produced, mollusk-based Badnik created by Dr. Eggman.
Appearance[]
The Beroros are based on mollusks. They have an orange head with a blue shell, two glaring eyes, and small wheels. They have a long tongue that they unfurl occasionally.
Overview[]
In Sonic Labyrinth, the Beroros appear exclusively as enemies in Labyrinth of the Castle 4-1. In gameplay, they roll slowly along the ground, pausing occasionally to unfurl their long tongues. Getting hurt by a Beroro in any way will substract five seconds from the timer. To destroy a Beroro, the player must Spin Dash into them.
Powers and abilities[]
Beroros have a long tongue that they lash out to attack intruders from a distance. They must stop moving to use it, however.
Trivia[]
- The Beroros' Japanese name, "Peroro" is derived from pero-pero, which is a Japanese onomatopoeia meaning "to lick."
