Robots Attack! is a DVD of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog consisting of four episodes which originally aired on television in 1993. The DVD is approximately 88 minutes long and was released by NCircle Entertainment on 21 July 2009.[1]

Episodes[]

Note: These are the episode descriptions on the actual DVD case, be aware they are not accurate as to the content in the actual episodes.

"Grounder the Genius"[]

When Hacker, an adolescent computer whiz, steals a super-intelligent program from Robotnik's computer, Sonic has to protect him, smashing Grounder to pieces. But when Grounder puts himself back together, he accidentally installs the intelligence program. Now that Grounder is a genius, he invents a petrifying ray, turning Sonic to stone, and Hacker and Tails come to the rescue.

"Sno Problem"[]

When Scratch and Grounder use Robotnik's new Slow-Mo Ray Gun to capture Sonic, Tails rescues him by reversing the gun and turning it on a tribe of friendly tree Sloth People who become a high speed commando strike force against Robotnik.

"Full Tilt Tails"[]

Robotnik invents an electron altering generator which makes Scratch and Grounder twice as fast as Sonic. When they lose it and Tails picks it up, Tails speeds through Mobius countryside leaving disasters and accidents in his wake. Seeing this, Robotnik convinces the villagers that the little fox belongs in jail, and Tails is forced to flee.

"Coachnik"[]

Robotnik invents a robot coach, the "Coachnik", to put Scratch and Grounder through a "Training Camp" to improve their skills. Then Coachnik puts a bomb in Grounder's head as a booby trap for Sonic, and a football game ensues with Grounder's head as the ball.

Extra Features[]

This disc also contains many sneak peaks of other DiC cartoons. Amongst the many sneak peaks is the intros to Sonic Underground and The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3.

Trivia[]

  • The back cover's description of the episode, "Sno Problem" is mistakenly summarizing the plot of "Slowwww Going", an episode that is not on this DVD.
  • The back cover's description of the episode, "Full Tilt Tails" is inaccurate and seems to be combining the plot with that of the episode "Too Tall Tails":
    • "Robotnik invents an electron altering generator which makes Scratch and Grounder twice as fast as Sonic." He actually invents Speedemint Gum and only Grounder becomes fast, not Scratch.
    • "When they lose it and Tails picks it up, Tails speeds through Mobius countryside leaving disasters and accidents in his wake." The gum sticks to Tails' shoe, he doesn't pick it up. And his "disaster" and "accidents" are just caused by stupidity, not because of his speed.
    • "Seeing this, Robotnik convinces the villagers that the little fox belongs in jail, and Tails is forced to flee." This is from the episode "Too Tall Tails", not this episode.
  • The back cover's description of the episode, "Coachnik" is inaccurate in that it says Coachnik puts a bomb in Grounder's head, when in the actual episode, it is Robotnik who puts the bomb in Grounder's head.
