The Rocky is a creature that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. They are a race of diminutive walrus Mobinis inhabiting Sonic's World. The Rockies are constantly captured by Dr. Eggman who uses them as batteries for his various Badniks.

Description[]

Anatomy[]

The typical Rocky is a diminutive form of seal, although it resembles more a pinniped. They have grey-whitish skin/fur with a rotund head, two large greyish blue eyes, small triangular flippers, and a fin-like hind flipper. They possess no tusks, but instead have a fussy white muzzle reminiscing a mustache and a small black nose.

History[]

Hunted and freed[]

Following Dr. Eggman's uprising, the Rockies have perpetually been kidnapped by the Eggman Empire to be used as power sources for the Badnik Horde employed by Eggman and his various Egg Army factions. Over the course of time, the Freedom Fighters and other parties have freed countless Rockies from their robot shells during their battles with Badniks.[1][2]

Shattered World Crisis[]

Note: From the readers point of view, this picks up from where the Rockies original timeline ended.

When the Shattered World Crisis began, the Rockies were amongst many of the animals caught up in crumbling landmasses caused by the planetary break-up.[3]
