The Gold Cameron (ゴールドキャメロン Gōrudokyameron?) is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a mass-produced, turtle-based Badnik created by Dr. Eggman, as well as a variant of the Cameron.

Appearance[]

Based on a Badnik that resembles a turtle, the Gold Camerons look near identical to their regular counterparts, with the only major visual difference between the two Badniks being the Gold Cameron's golden shell. Like the Camerons before them, the Gold Camerons also have turrets on their shells which they use as weapons to attack their foes with.

Overview[]

Gold Camerons make their only appearance in Sonic Heroes, where they can be found in Power Plant for Team Dark and Team Chaotix, Casino Park for Team Sonic and Team Dark, and in Frog Forest for all teams except Team Rose. They appear in all these levels in Super Hard Mode, along with Grand Metropolis. In addition, they are present in Robot Carnival (except Team Rose) and Robot Storm (except Team Rose and Chaotix). Notably, in Team Chaotix's missions in Power Plant, the player is required to destroy a certain number of Gold Camerons to complete it.

In gameplay, the Gold Cameron is an upgraded version of the Cameron with a reinforced golden shell, which makes this Badnik immune to Power Formation attacks. To destroy a Gold Cameron, it needs to be flipped over using the Speed Formation's Tornado Jump, with its defenseless belly then needing to be attacked. The Gold Cameron can also be easily destroyed if the player uses a fully-leveled up Speed Formation attack. The Gold Cameron has six HP and awards four hundred points upon destruction.
