Skull Rock, listed on Zorabel's map as Skull Island, is a location that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It is a rocky island on Mobius that is the home of the sea serpent Krakiota.
Description[]
When depicted on the map of Queen Zorabel, Skull Rock appears shaped like a skull, hence its name, but in fact it hardly resembles a skull at all. Captain Plunder brought Zorabel and the Spice Maidens to Skull Rock so that they could ask Krakiota where to find the Akotek Treasure.[1]
Trivia[]
- The name Skull Island, which features on Zorabel's map, is also a name of the island from King Kong.
- Zorabel's map names several other locations near Skull Rock, including:
- Elson's Island (after artist Richard Elson);
- Stringer's Strait (after writer Lew Stringer); and
- Kitching Cove (after writer and artist Nigel Kitching).
