The Groovy Train is a location that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It is an uptown coffee bar in an area of the Metropolis Zone called "The Neighbourhood". It has a 1970s style, with jazz music and dancing, as well as green-and-pink decor that resembles tie-dye. It is run by Ebony and Pyjamas.

History[]

Jack Kerow-Hack sometimes gave spontaneous poetry readings at the cafe.

After losing his memory and powers, Super Sonic appeared at The Groovy Train looking for a job. However, he was pursued by Bio-Hazard, who nearly destroyed the bar searching for Super Sonic.[1] Ebony, Pyjamas and Super Sonic took shelter in the bar's office,[2] where Pyjamas restored Super Sonic's memory with a Mind Link. Fortunately, Super Sonic did not revert to his previous demonic personality, and decided not to use his Chaos powers in case he once again felt the uncontrollable urge to destroy. Bio-Hazard nearly captured Super Sonic, but at the last moment he was pulled back to the Special Zone when Lieutenant Furor caught Lord Sidewinder and shut off the teleportation machine. After this, Ebony offered Super Sonic the job he'd originally applied for, and Super Sonic became good friends with Ebony and Pyjamas.[3]
