Trivia

• Although the cover of this book clearly shows its title is Sonic v. Zonik, in the book's interior the title is written as Sonic Vs Zonik.
• The events of this book mostly take place in the Zones of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, except that the Emerald Hill Zone has been replaced with the Green Hill Zone, which appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog 1991. Despite this, Sonic encounters a Buzzer Badnik (which are actually native to the Emerald Hill Zone), and there is a gate from Green Hill to the Chemical Plant Zone, guarded by Spike Buggy (aka Egg Drillster, the boss vehicle from Emerald Hill).
