The Hover Unit is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a multipurpose hovercraft employed by the forces of Dr. Ivo Robotnik.

History

The Hover Units made a few, but occasional appearances. In the "EndGame" storyline, a Hover Unit attacked the transport carrying Sonic the Hedgehog and others to the Devil's Gulag prison, allowing Sonic the opportunity to escape custody and clear his name after he had been framed for the attempted assassination of Princess Sally Acorn. Sally later piloted a Hover Unit when she traveled to Angel Island in an attempt to enlist the support of the Brotherhood of Guardians in the Kingdom of Acorns' war against the Eggman Empire.
