The Cacophonic Conch is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is an extremely rare[1] type of conch shell of unknown origins that can be used to control Zeti.

Description[]

As implied by its name, the Cacophonic Conch closely resembles a real-life musical instrument conch. It is very long, with long pointy spikes on the outer surface and is colored dark purple. Also, its opening glows red.

When blown into, the Cacophonic Conch gives off a low-pitched sound which has an adverse effect upon the Zeti species and can be used to keep them in line.[2][1]

History[]

Dr. Eggman used the Cacophonic Conch to subjugate the Deadly Six and take command of Lost Hex, which he soon converted into a base. However, the conch was later shattered by Sigma, who had taken control of Orbot, thus freeing the Deadly Six from Eggman's grip.[2] These events were later erased by Xander Payne when he rewrote history.[3]

Act Two[]

Later on, Eggman assigned Egg Boss Wendy Naugus to retrieve a Cacophonic Conch.[4]

Post-Shattered World Crisis[]

After the Shattered World Crisis was over, the Cacophonic Conch was used by Eggman to subjugate Zavok when he met him on Lost Hex. After struggling in vain, Zavok gave into the conch and reluctantly agreed to serve the doctor.[1] However, Sonic eventually kicked the Cacophonic Conch away from Eggman's hands.[5][6]
