— Sir Ffuzzy-Logik, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (16-bit)

Sir Ffuzzy-Logik, also known as Sir Fuzzy-Logik,[1] is a character that appears in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog television series. He is a bounty hunter Badnik created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik.

Appearance[]

Sir F-Fuzzy Logik sprite

Sir Ffuzzy-Logik is a knight-like humanoid robot with light gray armor. He has a light blue-gray head with yellow eyes, and possesses a braid of gray hair. He also wears a gray fur coat, as well as blue round fists with golden stars on them.

In Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, Sir Ffuzzy-Logik, looks almost the same, except that he has blue armor and an orange fur coat. He also wields a three-pronged trident.

History[]

TV series[]

Past[]

SSSSSS Sir Fuzzy Logik

Sir Ffuzzy-Logik, along with other Badniks, trying to catch Sonic, from "Super Special Sonic Search & Smash Squad".

In the recent past, Dr. Robotnik gathered many of his old bounty hunter Badniks, including Sir Ffuzzy-Logik. The doctor told them that he wanted them to catch Sonic, and if they did, he would give them one billion Mobiums. Immediately afterward, all the Badniks headed out in an attempt to catch the hedgehog when he revealed himself.[2]

Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine[]

In the 16-bit version and 8-bit version of Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, Dr. Robotnik assembled many of his old bounty hunter Badniks, including Sir Ffuzzy-Logik, and told them to kidnap the beans that inhabited Beanville so he could turn them into robot slaves using his Mean Bean-Steaming Machine. Later, Sir Ffuzzy-Logik was the tenth Badnik the player battled and defeated.

Personality[]

Sir Ffuzzy-Logik has a habit of speaking in an old English accent. He is a very violent robot, who carries out his leader's orders without question. As a bounty hunter, he also loves money, and will do whatever he can in order to earn tons of Mobiums.[2]

Relationships[]

Dragon Breath[]

While not stated outright, Sir Ffuzzy-Logik seems to have a rivalry with Dragon Breath, as during the Beanville incident, the latter mocked the Badnik knight by calling him "Ol' Fuzzy-Fface".

Battle[]

Sir Ffuzzy-Logik is the tenth boss in the 16-bit version and 8-bit version of Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine.

Boss guide[]

Like with the other bosses, the battle against Sir Ffuzzy-Logik takes place in two "dungeons" on each side, the left one being from the player and the right one from Sir Ffuzzy-Logik.[3] To defeat Sir Ffuzzy-Logik, the player has to fill his dungeon to the point where he is unable to drop any more beans. This can be done by dropping Refugee Beans into his dungeon, though Sir Ffuzzy-Logik himself can fill his own dungeon by accident.

During the battle, Sir Ffuzzy-Logik will be very aggressive, though slightly easier to defeat than Spike, pulling off combos very quickly.

The player loses when their dungeon is full of beans. After that, they are sent to a Continue screen and given the option to play again. If they win, however, the game will lead to the next boss, Dragon Breath.

Trivia[]

  • In this battle, Sir Ffuzzy-Logik has the same AI as Schezo Wegey from Puyo Puyo, the game on which Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine was based.
    • Coincidentally, both Sir Ffuzzy-Logik and Schezo appear and act like old-fashioned warriors.

Trivia[]

  • Sir Ffuzzy-Logik's name is a pun on "fuzzy logic", as in something not being plausible or true.
  • In Sonic the Hedgehog Encyclo-speed-ia, Sir Ffuzzy-Logic has a quote attached to him which reads "Seven. Seven Chaos Emeralds, and Dr. Robotnik will become a god." This is a reference to the character Undyne from the game Undertale, who, in addition to bearing some physical resemblance to Sir Ffuzzy-Logik, states a similar quote in the game: "Seven. Seven human souls, and King ASGORE will become a god."
    • Ian Flynn later confirmed that he did add that reference, though also flagged it as he suspected Sega would not allow it. To his surprise, however, it was given the green light.[4]
