Miss Possum is a character that appears in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. She is an anthropomorphic possum and a resident of Tranquil Gulch where she owns the local saloon. After the retirement of Sheriff Sonic, she took over as the town's sheriff.
History[]
Miss Possum first met Sonic the Hedgehog when he and his buddy Tails stopped into her saloon for chili dogs and root beer. From the moment they met, Miss Possum had an attraction to Sonic. Six Gun Pete barged into the saloon and started shooting like a mad man. Sonic tricked Pete into shooting himself and got rid of him. Mayor Chestnut appointed Sonic to be the new Sheriff of Tranquil Gulch. While Sonic resided in Tranquil Gulch, he and Miss Possum became close friends and developed somewhat of an affection for each other.
Noticing that Sonic has feelings for Miss Possum, Scratch and Grounder kidnapped her to lure Sonic into a trap. Sonic rescued Miss Possum and eventually rid the whole town of Badniks. Knowing his work was done, Sonic departed from Tranquil Gulch, but first delegating his job of Sheriff to Miss Possum with the whole town rejoicing at their new Sheriff.
Miss Possum later attended Sonic's surprise birthday party in the episode "Robotnikland" and she attended the testimonial banquet in Sonic's honor in the episode "Hero of the Year".

- In "Robotnik's Pyramid Scheme", Sonic hits on a girl on the beach that looks almost identical to Miss Possum except her nose is pink instead of black and wears a magenta bow and a purple bikini.
