Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing - Roulette Road Single Race with Amy Rose
August 30, 2010
It's good that I've gotten the opportunity to continue my single race videos of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing again. This single race video was recorded in March, at the same time period when I was capturing my video of the Icicle Valley track with Billy Hatcher. I've decided not to upload it until now since I wanted to perfect my technique for racing in this course with Amy. However, I hardly could find the opportunity to start recording videos again because of other tasks, so I had to choose the best between two earlier recordings. Pardon the wide turns and wall bumps I made during this recording.
The amount of turns and somewhat narrow passageways can make Roulette Road a bit difficult to navigate through. Proper timing and technique (which may vary among racers) are essential for drifting around some corners, otherwise the turns may end up being too wide or your character will hit a wall. The two curving paths toward the end of the lap do not have any real advantage to one another in length (as far as I've tested), but the left-sided red path features side springs on the second bend, while the right-sided blue path has them on the first.
I've never played Sonic Heroes (which I didn't have the interest to except to hear Metal Sonic's voice in the game, since it had gotten mostly mediocre to bad reviews), but I find Casino Park's music to be really cool! It makes me think of having fun bouncing around. As leader of Team Rose in the game, it was also fitting to have Amy featured for this track.
Recorded from the Nintendo Wii version. The game was played with the Wii Wheel control method on the Beginner difficulty.
