— Speedy, Sonic the Hedgehog #284

Speedy is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is a mobian bird who serves the Battle Bird Armada, and the son of Battle Lord Kukku XV.

His attire consists of a white sleeveless jumpsuit with red stripe patterns on the sides and legs, a red neckerchief, brown gloves, matching goggles with red lenses and long brown boots with light brown cuffs, stripes and soles. In his exoskeleton suit, Speedy wears a lime green helmet with the Battle Bird Armada's insignia on the front, a pair of white and red gauntlets with sharp metal claws, and a white jetpack.

Act Two[]

Note: From the readers point of view, this picks up from where Speedy's original timeline ended.

Speedy was seen alongside his father, Battle Lord Kukku XV, when Dr. Eggman requested his father's assistance to reclaim Eggmanland from the Naugus Twins.[3]

Speedy joined the rest of the armada in a surprise assault on the Sky Patrol. Donning his exoskeleton suit, Speedy and two troops navigated through the ship's interior to find and secure the Light Gaia Chip. Although he is met with some residence from Sally Acorn, Chip's attempt to help her allow Speedy to easily capture the spirit. Speedy thanked Chip for his "cooperation" before taking him back to the Battle Fortress.[1]

By the time Speedy had returned to the Battle Fortress, he had encased Chip in a capsule and asked the battle lord if they should move in for the kill. The battle lord told him that they could not as there was no time to do so. Speedy later delivers Chip to Dr. Eggman in Apotos. He and the Battle Bird Armada is then tasked with taking down a G.U.N. carrier that was trailing the mad doctor.[4]
