The Spikes is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It is a hermit crab-based Badnik variant created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik and is among the first generation of Badniks ever produced.
History[]
A part Dr. Robotnik's first Badnik army, some Spikes tried to keep Sonic the Hedgehog from Robotnik's Neutrino Accelerator, only to be torn to shreds by the hedgehog.[1] One Spikes in the Marble Zone was as well wiped out by Sonic when it and its fellow Badniks tried to turn Tufftee into a Badnik.[2] On other occasions, the Spikes tried forcing Tails into becoming a Badnik, and join Robotnik's invasion force of the Hidden Zone. On each of these occasions though, they destroyed by Sonic amidst their attempts.[3][4]
Some Spikes working under the Marxio Brothers helped occupy Knuckles while the brothers ran their schemes. However, Knuckles took them all out.[5]
