The Spinner is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a mass-produced, bat-based Badnik model produced by the Eggman Empire.

Appearance[]

Spinners are a bat-like Badnik model colored mostly purple with gold, white, gray, and blue lines throughout. It has blue colored eyes, and has blades on each side of it, colored blue, gray, and purple. Its robotic ears are colored white, gold, and purple.

Countdown to Chaos[]

A horde of Spinners ambushed Rotor the Walrus at the Mystic Ruins forest while he was finishing the last touches on the Sky Patrol. While he took on several of the robots, he was outnumbered, but luckily, Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower, Big the Cat, and Froggy were able to help destroy the remaining badniks.[1]

Shattered World Crisis[]

Act One[]

During the Shattered World Crisis, Spinners were sent out in the night to protect the base from intruders or Dark Gaia Creatures. During their patrol however, Sonic and Amy Rose destroyed them.[2]

Act Two[]

A squadron of Spinners would later accompany Metal Sonic, the Hooligans, and the Witchcarters in an attack on Mobotropolis. During the attack, the Spinners got destroyed by Cream the Rabbit, Big the Cat, and Gemerl. [3][4]

Powers and abilities[]

Spinners have the ability to fly through the air at ease. They can also shoot energy bolts powerful enough to destroy a gun turret on the Sky Patrol.[1]
