The Twister is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a biplane used by the Freedom Fighters.

Description[]

The Twister is a biplane that bears a strong resemblance to the Tornado. It shares an almost identical design with the Tornado, except the Twister's wings bend further back in a slight "V" formation and it has two additional rocket engines on the lower wings. It has a purple and light blue color scheme.

History[]

Creation[]

Twister First Model

Rotor and Tails building the first model of the Twister, from Sonic Free Comic Book Day 2014.

The Twister was created by Miles "Tails" Prower and Rotor the Walrus before the events of the Shattered World Crisis.[1][2]

Shattered World Crisis[]

The Knothole Freedom Fighters used the Twister as one of their vehicles to chase after Charles Hedgehog and Dillon Pickle in the Bullet Train, with Antoine piloting and Amy riding it. After moving the Twister into immediate striking distance, however, the Egg Train began to accelerate, forcing Antoine to abandon his position after Amy jumped off. Soon after, the Twister was ambushed by several accidentally activated Dragonflies before Bunnie was sent to give them air support.[3]
