Wheel of Misfortune

Robotnik spins the Wheel of Misfortune, from Sonic the Hedgehog #16.

The Wheel of Misfortune is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It was a wheel of chance made for Dr. Ivo Robotnik to decide his next move against Sonic the Hedgehog and the Knothole Freedom Fighters.

History[]

The Wheel of Misfortune selected robbing an underwater bank, stealing a painting from the Mobius Museum of Art, and causing "mindless act of terrorism". Harvey Who managed to rigged a camera to the wheel and informed the Knothole Freedom Fighters about the doctor's plans and thwarted all three schemes. Enraged by his failed attempts, Robotnik captured Sonic the Hedgehog while he was at Casino Night Zone and tied him to the Wheel of Misfortune he could finish him off with lasers. The lights went out right before Robotnik used the lasers and Sonic escaped, leaving a hole that exposed the camera. Robotnik's threw a tantrum over his embarrassing failure.[1]

  • The name is a spoof of the reality game show Wheel of Fortune.
