The Flicky's Super State is a transformation that appears in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles. It is the Super State of Flickies, achieved through Super Tails with the power of the Super Emeralds. In gameplay, they will come to Super Tails' aid when he transforms to attack nearby targets.
Appearance
When assuming their Super States, the Flickies blue plumage turns golden yellow and pulses, though they retain the red markings on their cheeks.
Powers and abilities
Due to being infused with at least the seven Chaos Emeralds' power, the Flickes accordingly command ultimate power and have access to unlimited energy.[1][2] In their Super State, the Flickies' innate abilities far surpasses their normal ones, making them strong enough to smash Badniks with a single strike. In addition to retaining their flight capabilities, the Flickies also gain virtual invulnerability.
Weakness
The Flickies' transformation is directly connected to Tails', meaning the Flickies will only remain in their Super State for as long as Tails can.
Gameplay
In gameplay, four Flickies in their Super State will surround Super Tails whenever he transforms. While present, these "Super Flickies" will instantly and automatically attack any enemy that comes in the near vicinity of Super Tails, be they normal Badniks or even bosses. Upon impacting the target, they will deal one hit worth of damage which will instantly destroy Badniks and even Hyudoros, the latter which is otherwise indestructible. This mechanic is similar to the Chao Attack, except it happens automatically. Once Super Tails' transformation ends, the Flickies will revert back to normal as well and fly away.

In the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics, the Flickies' Super State appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog #66 as constructs made up by Hyper Tails. They were used to combat Ugly Naugus, but were ultimately frozen solid by the villain.
Trivia
- As Flickies share the same color palette as Sonic in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Sonic & Knuckles, Flickies will appear in this form when Sonic is in his Super Form. The same effect occurs with the red Flickies whilst playing as Knuckles.
