The Flying Dynamo is a robot that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a Super Badnik sent by Thunderbolt, the Egg Boss of the Soumerca Egg Army.

History

StH 267 Flying Dynamo Destroyed

Sonic dissembling the Flying Dynamo, from Sonic the Hedgehog #267.

The Flying Dynamo was assembled by Thunderbolt and the Soumerca Egg Army to destroy Sonic the Hedgehog after a brief failure on ambushing Sonic and his friends.[1] During the nighttime (which Sonic was transformed into his Werehog state), the Flying Dynamo ambushed Sonic, Moss the Sloth, Mighty the Armadillo, and Ray the Flying Squirrel at the Rocky Jungle Zone, where all but Moss attacked the robot. Because of the robot's electricity power, the heroes had trouble defeating the robot, but Sonic, using the power of his arms to stretch long distances, grabbed two trees while having Mighty hold on to Sonic's legs. Like a catapult, Sonic had flew across the forest while Ray distracted the Flying Dynamo, grabbing the robot and beginning to dissemble it. Mighty then added the final punch, destroying the robot for good.[2]

Powers and abilities

StH 267 Flying Dynamo Power

The Flying Dynamo releasing electricity on Sonic, from Sonic the Hedgehog #267.

The Flying Dynamo has the ability to spout out electricity from its peak-like object on the front, which has at least gigawatt volts inside.[1] The electricity is powerful enough to make Sonic (at least in his Werehog form) back down. It is as well capable of flight.[2]
