Description, Sonic the Hedgehog Triple Trouble[1]

Flying Spin Attack (空中回転ジャンプ Kūchū Kaiten Janpu?, lit. "Midair Spin Jump") is variant of the Spin Attack that appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog Triple Trouble, and is used by both Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles "Tails" Prower. When performing this move, the user turn into ball form in the mid-air.


Usually in Sonic the Hedgehog games, when the player gets launched into the air by springs or runs off the edge of a cliff, the player becomes vulnerable to enemies and their attacks. In Sonic Triple Trouble, the player is able to perform the Flying Spin Attack by pressing Game Gear I Button or Game Gear II Button again to curl up mid-air. Flying Spin Attack gives extra protection for the player, who can also attack enemies from below them. It is also the only way to damage the Tart Turtle during its second strategy in Great Turquoise Zone Act 3.
