Should we add an AFK button for chat? It would automatically mark you as away, and I'd find that useful, as sometimes people don't know I'm AFK because they may not see me say brb and chat won't mark me as away unless I'm on a different window/tab. I support. When I'm on a new tab, it takes a few minutes for the chat to say I'm away. An AFK button sounds useful for when you want the chat to know you're away right when you're away. Template:MSig

I like this idea, as I am often in another tab. Also, might I suggest another option? Would it be possible if the chat could ping you if your username is mentioned, or if you receive a PM? This could make the tab flash or something. Might be helpful, as when I'm in another tab, I never notice if anyone asks me anything or PMs me until it's pointed out to me. I think there should be a ping whenever someone says something in chat and a Ping for PM. Cause at times Idk when people are talking when Iam on another Tab. But I think that the Ping thing should be in another Forum. Template:WillSig 03:21, October 22, 2012 (UTC)

A ping would be nice, but that might be harder to implement. Since the AFK button seems to have been used elsewhere, that'll probably be quite easy to implement. I'm in favour of both, but someone would need to find out how to do the pinging. -- Supermorff (talk) 07:34, October 22, 2012 (UTC)
