Well, I personally think that if the other characters had different ages when they were introduced, Cream should, too, regardless of WHEN she was introduced to the comics. Otherwise, it makes it seem like she has some sort of aging problem. Lol. Like I said, they may have also met her at a different point than in the games, regardless of when we actually SAW her. So, my guess is that she's 9, as that would make the most sense. -- [[User:MilesTailsPrower16|MilesTailsPrower16]]

Forums: Index > Questions > Character Ages? (Archie Comics)

Could someone explain to me why Tails is 11 in the comics, as opposed to his usual age of 8, but none of the other characters are any older? I don't understand. This makes no sense. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MilesTailsPrower16 (talkcontribs)

Because the Archie Sonic Comics aren't the same as the Sonic video games. And most of the other video game characters featured in the comic series aren't the same age as they are in the video games, either. Archie does their own thing, while SEGA does their own thing, too. --Lightning the Hedgehog

Well, it still seems like if they're going to make Tails older, they should make the others older too. As it is, Amy is still 12, Cream is still 6, etc. I think they should have made the others older, too, to have things make more sense, unless this was a mistake on someone's part. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MilesTailsPrower16 (talkcontribs)

Also, Archie Comics used many elements of the Sonic the Hedgehog TV show (SatAM) in their comics. Tails was 10 in the show, while Sonic was 16 (not 15, like he is in the games). And in the comics, Sonic was in space for a year. That makes Tails 11. --Lightning the Hedgehog

Ok...and that suddenly gives them an excuse to refuse to make the others older too? I don't think so. They need to do what makes sense. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MilesTailsPrower16 (talkcontribs)

Does that mean that characters like Amy and Cream are now older than 12 and 6, despite what their Sonic wikia pages say? —Preceding unsigned comment added by MilesTailsPrower16 (talkcontribs)

Cream was introduced very recently, and probably hasn't aged much. Otherwise, per Gen. -- Supermorff (talk) 07:39, July 20, 2012 (UTC)

Hmm...well, it doesn't make sense that they'd be younger, especially since you said they've all been gradually aging. I think they SHOULD be 3 years older. If Tails is 11, that should logically make them 15 and 9. The fact that Cream was introduced recently shouldn't make a difference in age, if you ask me. She and Amy should both be older if Tails is, regardless of when she was introduced. For all we know, they may have met her at a different point in the comics than in the games. But as it is, I don't think either of their ages have been officially specified in the comics yet, despite what the wiki says, so I think it's all matter of speculation until anything official is revealed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MilesTailsPrower16 (talkcontribs)

Can you please sign your posts in future? You can do it by adding four tildes (Supermorff (talk) 07:25, July 21, 2012 (UTC)) after your comments. Thanks.
Anyway, I think there is some confusion here. The comics and games take place in completely different continuities. The version of Sonic in the games is completely different from the Sonic in the comics. The comics aren't just using the game characters a few years in the future - they are completely different from start to finish. They had different ages when they were introduced, and it is the comics characters' ages that have been slowly advancing; the games ages remain static. Comic-Cream has not aged much because she was recently introduced to the comic, therefore there just hasn't been time for her comic-age to progress. When she was introduced, she was probably introduced at a similar (if not exactly the same) age as her games counterpart (but you're right that her age has not been revealed canonically in the comics, so it's speculative anyway). -- Supermorff (talk) 07:25, July 21, 2012 (UTC)
