To be honest, no. Sonic has always been known as a high-speed hedgehog. Making him a lycanthrope would just add unnecessary baggage to the series. I mean, Chip the Dog is bad enough as a new character being he's essentially just Tails with ADHD and a "dark secret". All of it is bull and whether or not Sonic Unleashed is a good game, I think the werewolf gameplay and Chip should be left to exist only in this game. ~ SilentRider639 SR639

Im not saying the Werehogs Gameplay was bad, far from it, I just don't like the Werehog in general because he is suppose to be more different, bad@$$ and darker which Sonic doesn't need. Sonic the Werehog should remain at least as a one-off in Unleashed than any comebacks since Sonic is already awsome. In other words the Werehog to me was not only an excuse by Sonic Team not to add extra unneccisary characters (But did so anyway with Chip) but also an attempt to make something perfect even more better. It is why I suggested either Knuckles or Ristar because they could of had the exact same gameplay as the Werehog and get Sega wouldn't give the impresison of more unneccisary characters. Well SEGA has announced that the Werehog was N'T a mistake and it will return in later games. And I agree, the werehog factor waz bad@$$ but not as cool as Dark Super Sonic. And if teh werehog will return, then that means Chip will return as well since the werehog was Sonic being influenced by Dark Gaia. (Horray! Chip's going to come back) Sonic & Scrab Master

I know some like Chip, but again, his role could of been replaced with Tails. Actually I wouldn't be suprised if Unleashed, before the idea for a Werehog, was between Tails as the friend and Knuckles as the powerhouse, but were replaced by Chip and the Werehog who in my eyes are unncessisary characters. I may love Sonic games, but believe that Sonic Team are now clawing for ideas if they keep using a brand new character in every new game. Well Shadow and Knuckles were suposed to be playable along with the werehog, but was removed from the alpha version for an unknown reason. Sonic & Scrab Master

I guess there are rules Sonic Team must follow which denies them permit to use certain old characters. What reasons could such characters like Mighty and Nack not be permitted for use? My guess Tails Doll was originally Traveller's Tales but take in mind Tails Dolls is an official Sonic character not used outside of Sonic R in other Tt games. The only reason I see that sonic Team wouldn't use Mighty would because of simularities he has with Shadow but I doubt that his apperance would be a disadvantage at all in the eyes of Sonic fans.--Mystic Monkey 22:33, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

Why keep old characters if not going to use them? If they will be used after a line of new characters then when? I say give us Sonic fans a real treat and have those forgotten classics in a game. Chip was very funny. I actually cried when he was resealed in the planet. And for once, Sonic has real power. the only time he had great strength was from his speed, as Darkspine Sonic, or in Sonic the Fighters. Sonic & Scrab Master
- I guess Chip was rather original, I did find him quite funny, just wish he wasn't a useless character. All he did was talk now and again during gameplay and Gaia Colossus and now he's sealed up. If any between Werehog and Chip I would be alright for return would be Chip, perhaps replacing Tikal's Hint Orbs or Omochao but a really good reason would be needed for his release which Sonic Team probably skip.
