I've actually been on the wrong end of these kicks on a different chat system (Xat, to be specific, roughly two years ago), and I have to admit when it's abused it can become annoying and offensive. However when it's clearly done as part of a joke and both ends of the kick are in on it and know it doesn't mean anything, it's harmless. It really depends on the situation I suppose, but generally it can be irresponsible.--[[User:Kagimizu|<font color="#0000FF">'''Kagi'''</font><font color="#FF0000">'''mizu'''</font>]]-[[User talk:Kagimizu|<font color="#008000">'''Seeya'''</font> <font color="#FFA500">''''round'''</font>]] 05:11, November 9, 2012 (UTC) |

Well, the title dictates what i am saying; Because there is nothing "friendly" about it. Sometime in the chat, a user will ask an admit or a chat mod to kick them (Example: "hey admit guy, KICK ME!")for humor. Now this is perfectly fine. What also happens an admit or a chat mod will kick a user, not because the user wasn't following the Chat Rules, but for humor. This is unexceptionable. The kick tool was made to give users warnings, not for comedy. A admit or chat mod doing this is setting a bad example. May i note some users take kicks quite offensively. We should add to the Admit How-To Gide to never use a kick in the chat room for humor (the one exception is stated above). Behavior like this is abusing admit's rights and should be punished. I ask for your approval so we can implement this. Template:SilverSig 00:50, November 4, 2012 (UTC)}
I have no reason to hide that I've rarely made a few "joke kicks", though I've never been informed by the victim that they've taken it offensively. In any case, yes, I have broken one of the Administrator's rules regarding the chat, and any punishment that may be necessary will not be argued against. Totally agree. SplashTheHedgehog 00:55, November 4, 2012 (UTC)

- The SCP Chat is owned by User:SonicTheHedgehogDude, thus, he is the decision-maker of his chat laws. The same cannot apply here, as the community is larger. Template:Sig/SG79 01:01, November 4, 2012 (UTC)

SilverPlays97 > We can't really do anything about this if you do not provide evidence of these "friendly kicks" occurring on the SNN chat. I need to know which users have been abusing the kick option, and they will be swiftly warned to cease this behavior. If they continue to misuse the option, then I will recommend a demotion be put up on the Request for User Rights page. Furthermore, there is no need to mention "don't use kick for humor" on the Administrator's how-to guide considering that page isn't for telling do's and don'ts. Disciplinary actions will naturally be taken for those that choose to abuse their rights. Template:DFSig04:39, November 4, 2012 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure you meant "unacceptable" not "unexceptionable". Also, we're called "admins" not "admits". In response to your actual points, DF is exactly right. -- Supermorff (talk) 09:33, November 4, 2012 (UTC)
Everything I intend to say about this has pretty much been stated already by DarkFuture. Template:SolaceSig 13:05, November 4, 2012 (UTC)

I'm with DF on this one Template:KatSig2
Although I've been silent on this matter for a little while, I also agree with DF's arguments. Lloyd the Cat"I don't die. I just go on adventures." 11:38, November 5, 2012 (UTC)
@Free. I think you misunderstood. Silver said that when an admin is asked to do it, it's fine. But when an admin does it for a joke without being asked, it's not fine. -- Supermorff (talk) 18:38, November 5, 2012 (UTC)
