Well, the title dictates what i am saying; Because there is nothing "friendly" about it. Sometime in the chat, a user will ask an admit or a chat mod to kick them (Example: "hey admit guy, KICK ME!")for humor. Now this is perfectly fine. SilverPlays97 > We can't really do anything about this if you do not provide evidence of these "friendly kicks" occurring on the SNN chat. I need to know which users have been abusing the kick option, and they will be swiftly warned to cease this behavior. If they continue to misuse the option, then I will recommend a demotion be put up on the Request for User Rights page. Furthermore, there is no need to mention "don't use kick for humor" on the Administrator's how-to guide considering that page isn't for telling do's and don'ts. Disciplinary actions will naturally be taken for those that choose to abuse their rights. DFSig04:39, November 4, 2012 (UTC)

Personally, I don't really mind the kicking for humor thing. I mean if a user asks to be kicked, it's within their right to ask and as long as the mod/admin and other user are in agreement, there shouldn't be anything wrong with it. I will openly admit that I've been asked to do it. In most cases it was asked to be done not for comedic purposes, but for self-disciplinary actions chosen to be done so by the users who asked me to kick them. In either of the cases, no harm was ever done when the actions were done. -- 03:18, November 5, 2012 (UTC)

I've actually been on the wrong end of these kicks on a different chat system (Xat, to be specific, roughly two years ago), and I have to admit when it's abused it can become annoying and offensive. However when it's clearly done as part of a joke and both ends of the kick are in on it and know it doesn't mean anything, it's harmless. It really depends on the situation I suppose, but generally it can be irresponsible.--<font color="#0000FF">Kagi</font><font color="#FF0000">mizu</font>-<font color="#008000">Seeya</font> <font color="#FFA500">round</font> 05:11, November 9, 2012 (UTC)

::To be fair, Kagi was stating his opinion on the matter using a past example as a basis. Yes as Sacor said I was basing my opinion on previous chat experiences. And I have been engaged (on both ends, admittedly) in friendly kicking on SFW, where it's taken less seriously. However, two admins getting into a kicking match is quite different from a mod/admin versus a normal User. While I see no harm when all present realize it's intended as a harmless joke and none take offense to it, should someone treat it as a serious matter or find it offensive (regardless of being the one kicked or not), then matters should be taken and the "friendly kicking" should cease immediately.--<font color="#0000FF">Kagi</font><font color="#FF0000">mizu</font>-<font color="#008000">Seeya</font> <font color="#FFA500">round</font> 00:39, November 16, 2012 (UTC)

:Kagi, your logic is confusing. If a mod/admin chooses to abuse their power, and kick someone for the hell of it, that is an issue. The person may not have wanted to leave chat, and it's just a hassle. It also sets a bad example for other mods and admins, who will follow in suit. -- 01:47, November 16, 2012 (UTC)

:Per Bullet and for my own reasons. Basically, actions should be judged by the actions themselves and not by peoples reactions to it. Regaurdless of weather or not they find it offensive, funny, or just don't care a lot, it's still the same action: abusing your power for "humor" or "just cuz". I find that completely unacceptable. Result: Kicking randomly for personal enjoyment is not allowed without victim's permission.
Well, the title dictates what i am saying; Because there is nothing "friendly" about it. Sometime in the chat, a user will ask an admit or a chat mod to kick them (Example: "hey admit guy, KICK ME!")for humor. Now this is perfectly fine. What also happens an admit or a chat mod will kick a user, not because the user wasn't following the Chat Rules, but for humor. This is unexceptionable. The kick tool was made to give users warnings, not for comedy. A admit or chat mod doing this is setting a bad example. May i note some users take kicks quite offensively. We should add to the Admit How-To Gide to never use a kick in the chat room for humor (the one exception is stated above). Behavior like this is abusing admit's rights and should be punished. I ask for your approval so we can implement this. SilverPlays97 (Wall) (Contributions) 00:50, November 4, 2012 (UTC)}
