No, this isn't a fan game. Basically I have plans this year to visit the different Sonic events that Britain will be hosting, plans which maybe of interest to SNN and since my blog is a little dry, that be the best place to write my experiences. Unless I am permitted to write them somewhere else on SNN for more public viewing.
Now what am I on about? This year UK is truely blessed with events and locations that Sonic fans would love, though this trip would be a little expensive, I still want to do all this even if I get a sore pockets afterwards. I really hate missing out on these special once in a life time Sonic events because they are too far away from me and this time (I have always regret missing SegaWorld), even if I cannot attend them all, I will try and attend as many as I can.--Mystic Monkey sez 17:22, February 24, 2010 (UTC)
Anyway here are the locations I hope to go to this year:
Why am I naming this little quest "Grand Kingdom Adventure"? Because S&tBK was based on the Arthurian Legends, Arthur by these stories was a King of Britain. Since these Sonic events will happen in Britain, my home country, I figured since Sonic is comming to Britain, I might as well call my little run-around "Grand Kingdom Adventure" I believe (which I admit I makes as much sense as the Special Zone) Grand Kingdom is Sonic's world equivilent of Great Britain (United Kingdom being a sovereign state white Great Britain is the country, well an island really). I hope to bring my video camera since I never used it since I got it years a go.--Mystic Monkey sez 17:22, February 24, 2010 (UTC)
Summer of Sonic
I believe in 2010 it will be held the same place as it was last year and this year I hope to attend. My Mother is not thrilled with the idea of me going to London, however I will have my Brother with me. Since he wants to see this years crop-circles (we are both "believers") I figured we can both do what each of us want one after another as it will only take a few days to reach London by then.--Mystic Monkey sez 17:22, February 24, 2010 (UTC)
I have always been afraid of roller coaster rides. I have only been on one roller coaster ride in my life and it wasn't an extreme one. I don't know why I fear them as despite knowing they are secure, the size and complex courses of them put me off in shivers. However, with this new ride in Alton Towers known as the Sonic Spinball (which I read was quite big) would I be both man and fan enough to break this fear? This would be quite a page in the blog if I attempt this. Even if I chicken out, Alton Towers hotel has themed rooms and I hope to book the Sonic the Hedgehog room. I read the wallpapers like Green Hill Zone but looks more like Splash Hill Zone to me.
I know Sonic is also in the Toyland Tours but from a video I have seen of it, I dunno if I can stomach all that happy-hapy joy-joy crap for a few minutes of Sonic animatron--Mystic Monkey sez 17:22, February 24, 2010 (UTC)
I am really happy Sega and Sonic Team are paying attention to it's British fans. I don't mean to sound like an @$$hole to SNN's users who are not British, I am sorry if you wish to see and experiance. If you know any Sonic events in Britain that I am not aware of please let me know so I can try and fit it in to my adventure.--Mystic Monkey sez 17:22, February 24, 2010 (UTC)
I really like this. I was anticipating for a user to get up and do this kind of thing. Kudos!--Milotheechidna 21:31, February 24, 2010 (UTC)
- It may be a stretched year to do all this stuff. Also note I am no journalist. I will take my video camera to show you guys, I'll see if I can make a documentary out of it.--Mystic Monkey sez 23:37, February 24, 2010 (UTC)
well good luck on you on your *load and echoing* GRAND ADVENTURE. --Sledge The Hedgehog 00:20, February 25, 2010 (UTC)
I am starting to get worried on how I can make this all work. I am going to plan my trip to Alton Towers, but I cannot go alone. Mum can come along but she doesn't seem very enthusiastic about it, nor a Sonic fan at all. I don't want to takeher someplace she does not want but I fear asking my brother in case he is too busy. I don't wanna push my luck asking him to take me to both SoS '10 and Alton Towers. Mum thinks I am better of just making my room into a Zone of sorts and I see where shes getting at but I would rather go and spend the night in the Sonic suite and ride the Sonic Spinball. Perhaps I am being selfish about this. I don't want to miss these events (Missing SoS or leaving Alton Towers for years until Spinball is replaced) but I don't want to make people important to me miserable.--Mystic Monkey sez 20:45, March 2, 2010 (UTC)
I was going to suggest Alton Towers, and you have it listed :) Isn't cheap thou, so if I had to decide from only 1 on your list, that would be it.
- I know, I asked my mother and my brother if they can take me and they were all like >_<. Then my brothers friend Bean was the only one possitive about the idea and agreed to take me. I wanna spend the night in the Sonic Suite, but if I cnanot purhaps they will let me bring my camcorder in for a look-see.--Mystic Monkey sez 02:30, March 4, 2010 (UTC)
I thought preparing for these events I wanna do in advance would give me the edge over these things I wanted to do. But alas problems have surfaced which had to break promises to those who were going to help me accomplish this since my mother would not permit me to do this alone. Therefore with no one to take me to these events (SoS comming up just next month) and my savings depleting it means I can't go. Im apologizing because I feel I have wasted time setting this GKA thing up as I hoped that not only will I have a good time, but also I could bring my video camera and upload my experiances for SNN as well as contribute primary information to the above articles. I am very sorry.--Mystic Monkey sez 22:50, July 21, 2010 (UTC)
