I tend to ask myself questions on Sonic's world that seem to minor or pointless to bring about on Articles. But I do wonde rif you ask yourself these questions.

Like, Zones! Sure what about them? But in recent Sonic games they are renamed Action Stages or just stages. I always wonder, to the residents nearby these stages or perhaps Sonic and friends offscreen still refer them as Zones? Or does a Zone just classify a certain environment. I always thought what classified a Zone is when the environment of the large location has natual occuring yet unique enviromental structures.

And of course laiden with traps and robots by Robotnikto slow the player down, but still no where else would you find such interesting structure than a "Zone". which is why I wonder if the NPCs or offscreen characters still refer to the stages as "Zones"?

Another thing I have been pondering over since I got Sonic Unleashed is that do the stages there also count as Zone, as well as the fact that these Zones are in the towns and cities. Now while usually urban base, there has been urban base zones like Spring Yard Zone and Starlight Zone, If there are houses in the Zones of Sonic Unleashed, does that mean people actually live in the Zones? How do the people think or feel of Sonic running right past there homes? How do they go outside or get to work being in the middle of all those obsticals?

Lastly, I been thinking of doing a comic based in Empire City, of cars driving along the highway of Skyscraper Scamper and then they find the whole road seem to be going up, over and into a loop.

Seriously, the cities are much larger and full of interesting things than the simple Hubs that Sonic explores in Unleashed, but it seems that if anyone needs to access other parts of the city than simply the entrance they need to navigate there way through the Zone smack-bang in the middle.

Has anyone had these little questions before? What have you always questioned?--Mystic Monkey sez 20:32, May 23, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, my thought on the whole "zones vs. stages" thing is this, I think "zones" are the actual AREA. Whereas a "stage" is a minor part

of the area. For instance, zone 5, stage 1. or zone 5, stage 2. However, I have noticed where they (SEGA) replaced "stage" with "act".

But to me, that was a minor change. And didn't really bother me. Also, I think when Sonic's in a city, town etc. the citizens are very happy

to see him. Now some people might say, "Well what if they're NOT happy to see him!? What if the robots follow him there!?".

This could be true, but theres one problem. THE ROBOTS ARE ALWAYS INFRONT OF HIM!!!.

Also I wonder...Do Sally Acorn, Rooter the Walrus, and all other Archie comic characters, still exist in the major continuity?

I like to think they do...since sonic is 10 in the comics, and hes currently 16...It does make sense.

Also as far as i know, Sonic and co. are currently on earth. and at the beginning of Sonic X they're on a different planet.

Also, later in the series, they return to their planet. my guess is that its Mobius. -- Bladez the Hedgehog

I think the games don't care fr the comics at all, however all it takes is a trip along the cosmic interstate for Archie Sonic to visit the games. Archie comics can but won't because they can.--Mystic Monkey sez 16:39, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

I know not to mix Archie comics with the games, just saying with all those alternate versions of Sonic's world then Archie comics could set a path through the Cosmic Intertstate to the games. they won't ofcourse because they might as well shoot there careers goodbye. And sadly, Im a deep-thinker. :3--Mystic Monkey sez 17:43, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

For awhile, when I was younger, I thought that cities/towns would dedicate a small part of their budget to accommodate for Sonic's spring and rail needs LOL

Oooh you just raised another important question! Who builds them and why? I pressume spikes and traps by Robotnik, or nature such as Gren Hill Zones crumbling ledges, but who takes time to set up the obsticals and equipment for Sonic's advantage?--Mystic Monkey sez 19:11, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

But why leave equipmwnt that is benefitial to Sonic? Like springs that allow Sonic to reach areas for progress?--Mystic Monkey sez 19:28, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
