But of course, the worst idea of yours would have to be the "favourite couple" poll - not only are these couples fan-made and non-canon, and not only is there a massive amount of them, but if a certain one becomes more popular than the rest, dedicated fans of the other couples may become furious and possibly cause disruptions, taking into account how serious and argumentative many people are over this subject. I read through this page and I thought I might suggest a Silver-themed Skin for New Years Eve, perhaps? I can make us more background skins no probs. Whenever original backs or themed on Supermorffs classic blue background which I like doing (Making them for "tile" is a bit tricky though). I prefer using the classic face icons to worth with for the SNN backgrounds. Though Black Arms logo and Telekinesis symbol from '06 could perhaps represent Shadow and Silver. I like some of these ideas, I think an Amy face background would be good for Valentines day, I believe on the Halloween discussion page, there is a discussion about using a slider for navigation for Halloween as it's easier to use that than to Halloweenify the buttons, perhaps we can use it for all holidays (although it would be hard to represent some things such as locations and games with a Valentine twist).

I don't think we should make Amy the featured page for Valentines as it would end up being a case that she's the featured user every Valentines day. If we can find a group of love themed pages that could be proposed as FPs then that would be ok, but if there isn't enough, I'd consider normal FP action. Another thing I thought would be good is if we had floating heart GIFs in similar manner to the Hyudoros we have now.

I'm not sure about having Vanilla as the Mother's day background, first off, there's isn't a Sonic Team styled icon for Vanilla, so making a background might be hard to make, second of all, there are two mother's days; Mothering Sunday and Mother's Day, the question would be which one to use?

Lastly, I like the idea of using Silver for New Years, and I think we should stick with the head idea for backgrounds, because I think they look great. Also keep in mind that us Brits usually have minor holidays set on different days than American holidays. For example in UK, Mothering Sunday was the 18 March this year (fourth sunday of Lent). I do like Easter and can imagine Cream the Rabbit with chao egg's, or maybe SNN will have a hostile take over of the Eggman Empire that day. Christmas (as Christmas) has a religious origin but is now largely secular, partly because there are so many holidays clustered around the Winter solstice anyway. Easter has a religious backstory (but a pagan origin) and is still a largely Christian festival (egg hunts notwithstanding), and there aren't very many non-Christian holidays at the same time (Passover is the only one that comes to mind), certainly none of which use rabbits or eggs as imagery. There's a reason that Wikipedia has a List of winter festivals but no List of spring festivals. As I said, the "Christmas" skin should be a Holiday skin. I don't think we should do Easter because it is largely Christian, as explained by Supermorff. We don't need to do a skin for every holiday anyways, it is unnecessary work that most won't even notice anyways. A Valentines skin would only last one day, as there is little anticipation for Valentines Day (which is a very small holiday anyways). Easter is largely Christian, which is why I think we should stay away from it. The Winter Holiday skin is fine, and the Halloween skin is a stretch, but I think we're fine with what we have. If anything, our efforts should be focused on making a new background entirely instead of ones for holidays (and our regular background is fine as is anyways). Honestly, making holiday skins for lesser known and/or non-universal holidays is unnecessary, and will go largely unnoticed.
