If you want a wish to come true, you have to work for it, yes. That's the point of the website. That's the point of wishing. It's not like Santa Clause, where you can just write up a list, go to sleep and wake up and it'll be there. No, this site requires you to put some elbow grease into your wish, so that you can help out the forces that are trying to make your wish come true. Understand, Myself? Make A Wish

If your heart is in your dream, no wish is too extreme.

Just be careful what you wish for.

--04:20, November 27, 2010 (UTC)

I don't think it will work. I written out my wish but only half of it showed up and the other half that didn't was the part that had the actual wish on it. Reasons for a wish and the actual wish are two different things, especially when I took great care to be descriptive on the wish incase of irony or karma. Not only that my friend showed up (at 7:30 which is rather late and odd time to show up) when I was writting and submitting the wish which in sites rules say that no one should know the wish so besides it not being properly requested to begin with but breaks it as well since my friend noticed it. >.<--Mystic Monkey sez 19:47, November 27, 2010 (UTC)

Hey, you can always make another wish. -- Shelly the Hedgehog Amy to ShellyI'm not a monkey! 04:46, November 28, 2010 (UTC)

I know and I did, I know people expect Atheists to not as easily believe in a wishing site but there is no point or education in shutting myself off from others theories. Though even though it is my second attempt I hope it counts as a single wish as I don't want to be greedy. However by the accounts of those whos wish has come true it doesn't seem most of them have fufilled the required steps. Some of them just seem to submit there wishes with hope on a whim and claimed there wish has happened a day, 8 days or a few months afterwards without requiring the steps. There seems to be many, while not difficult, questionable ways of going about the wish which makes me question it's neccesity.

For example the site centers around the number 8 with good reasons such as it representing the Lemniscate symbol (∞) which is heavily assosiated with infinity or also the Mobius Strip. However it also reccomends enforcing your wish every 11:11 because 88÷8=1111, I find kinda unreasonable as isn't it too "logical" for a ritualistic process? Wouldn't it make more sense to enforce your wish at 8:00? I know discussing wishes in that are not granted can disrupt there progess but the site encourages people to believe. To actually tell your wish before it is granted is of course derived from a number of simular wishing methods such as lowing out the candles of your birthday cake, a penny in a wishing well or wishing on a star while keeping the wish itself a secret, but wouldn't simply discussing that you made a wish strengthen it than weaken it? After all you are apply your own belief as well as motivation to others.
Another important thing to keep in mind is that site tells you only 10% of these wishes work. So while it is still around 888 wish that would be granted, it's no where near the halfway point of a total 8888 wishes so while "What People Are Saying" claims this site to be real, they are really under a percentage of all total true wishers who told us while a small fraction of true wishers prefer not to say along with the false wishers whos wishes didn't come true.
tl;dr- I think the wishes that come true are coincidental but not saying that there is no science behind it all, more parascience.

Still I won't give up on this site. My wish is too important to me and I can't say if it's actual or not without a fair and open minded test, even though I cannot fufill the requirements exactly. (Is it 11:11am or 11:11pm ? :/) I hope the spell would forgive my inaccuracy by the fact I was born in 1988.--Mystic Monkey sez 12:50, November 28, 2010 (UTC)

Hm, I did not understand a single thing you have typed, I beg your pardon. I think you need help?--58SlugDrones! 13:24, November 28, 2010 (UTC)

Mystic, 58, you guys don't have to understand it. You just have to believe. I know, you're probably thinking, "how do I believe what I don't understand? What type of oxymoron is that?" Well, just believe what the site is telling you, because you don't have to go into deep thought about it. It's simple -- that's why we're having a hard time with it. -- Shelly the Hedgehog Amy to ShellyI'm not a monkey! 01:44, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

Isn't "Make a Wish" a charity foundation or somethin'? -- Murphyshane I voted Blaze, so you vote Shadow Don't click here 13:49, November 28, 2010 (UTC)

That's Tah-HO-tally different. -- Shelly the Hedgehog Amy to ShellyI'm not a monkey! 01:44, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

So as long as I believe in my important wish, it may come true? I don't have to follow it's step-by-step requirements?--Mystic Monkey sez 14:49, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

Those requirements are living proof that you believe your wish will come true and will do anything to make sure it does. -- Shelly the Hedgehog Amy to ShellyI'm not a monkey! 02:02, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

I do most of the requirements, I doubt most of those who claimed there wishes come true have fufilled them, like those who had there wishes come true the day after than 8 days.--Mystic Monkey is at Diamond Dust Zone this Christmas. 17:17, December 1, 2010 (UTC)
Besides, even if my wish doesn't come true in the next 3 days, that doesn't mean it will never since.
I wish i was a admin. (Doubt that will ever happen) Cloudthehedgehog12 sez bah humbug! Happy Holidays! 21:34, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

Why make a wish? If they do come true, if we can get anything we want, then what is the point of everything? What do we learn? Myself 123 21:57, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

I do enjoy these bits of of wisdom my page provides so I am learning from my wish. XD I know my wish will probably won't come true but that doesn't mean what I wish for won't come true someday. Im just going through this 8 day thing because Atheist or not even I have doubts about myself and would like some help from somebody, whenever a power, an actual god or a fellow human.--Mystic Monkey is at Diamond Dust Zone this Christmas. 22:43, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

We all need help, but a lot of us just can't get it...and Myself, you ask a good question. Not everything we wish for is going to come true, but that's where something called "hope" steps in...

But I think I'm losing my hope...almost everytime I make a wish, I get back to the page too late; 24 hrs have come to pass, and the numerological alignment of my wish is cancelled. ...I...I feel like no matter what I do, it won't make a difference... -- Shelly the Hedgehog Amy to ShellyI'm not a monkey! 03:07, December 4, 2010 (UTC)

This thread makes my head hurt. . . Admiral Signature Christmas 03:09, December 4, 2010 (UTC)

Why make a wish? Seriously, wishes don't come true by silly numbers and cards or what-so-ever. Shel, seriously, I am not into making wishes by a shooting star or something. Oh and I am not an oxymoron, I never said that I couldn't understand fortune-telling or making wishes I just didn't understand the thing he said above my message. Eh, this forum...--58SlugDrones! 15:11, December 4, 2010 (UTC)

If anything, they'll jinx your wish -_ Murphyshane I voted Blaze, so you vote Shadow Don't click here 16:23, December 4, 2010 (UTC)

Slugs, do you know what an "Oxymoron" is? An Oxymoron is a statement that contradicts it's sense. For example I have doubts about this wishing thing because it just seems a bit whimsicle. However Im giving it hope since I haven't tried it yet (though I admit my last day and no results) However keep in mind you cannot see or feel "air" but you know it is there.--Mystic Monkey is at Diamond Dust Zone this Christmas. 16:50, December 4, 2010 (UTC)
Yes you can feel air! And you can scientifically verify its existence with incredible ease! -- Supermorff 18:35, December 4, 2010 (UTC)
Well yes, but if you had to convince an idiot with little to no scientific tools and without strangling him it be difficult.

Still I admit that I have not given my wish enough attention as it deserves. Icould of at least do the 11:11 thing more often. But sadly I don't have exactly 8 friend to share the site with and if I did fear they wil lconsider me spam mailing. :( But even if I cannot proove how important my wish is to me doens't mean that it isn't and will still strive for it. Even if I don't know the path I must take, I will still reach my destination.--Mystic Monkey is at Diamond Dust Zone this Christmas. 19:41, December 4, 2010 (UTC)

I know that I am not an oxymoron. That's why I said it. Got a problem with that?--58SlugDrones! 09:21, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

No problem, I am just pointing out that "Oxymoron" is not used to title someone negativly especially for there oppinions, it is just a figure of speech that combines contradictory terms.--Mystic Monkey is at Diamond Dust Zone this Christmas. 17:09, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

Mystic's 8 days are up

Well nothing happened. But still glad that the site brought me a bit of hope. After all, it said my wish will come true after 8 days. It didn't say when after 8 days. ;) Still I will hold onto my paper 8.--Mystic Monkey is at Diamond Dust Zone this Christmas. 22:27, December 4, 2010 (UTC)

I sincerely hope your wish comes true. Also, remember the 8th and final requirement for making a wish come true... -- Shelly the Hedgehog Amy to ShellyI'm not a monkey! 04:05, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

Well it said there was some sort of Quest I had to do. I was expecting it to be going to a neighbouring coutnry or something epic and at first was intimidated by the idea, but around day 5 I thought "Yeah I could do it!" But the Quest never showed up.--Mystic Monkey is at Diamond Dust Zone this Christmas. 17:09, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

Seriously, what do us as people gain by having our every wish granted? If we want something, we should work for it, strive for it, earn it. We wouldn't be where we are today if we just wished for everything. Myself 123 17:54, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

Of course, but how can we strive for something without hope? Besides I only made the one wish.--Mystic Monkey is at Diamond Dust Zone this Christmas. 18:57, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
Indeed, but we should work for it and make sure it comes true. "Heaven helps those who help themselves." Myself 123 19:18, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

Exactly -- Murphyshane I voted Blaze, so you vote Shadow Don't click here 19:21, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

I can pick at that line but it's Christmas time so I won't. Point is a bit of hope can do wonders. Im Atheist but I believe in hope as it cna come from anything. A eprson or an idea etc.--Mystic Monkey is at Diamond Dust Zone this Christmas. 19:55, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
