According to the comics, Mobius is a future Earth, then, in Sonic X, Chaos Control teleports Sonic & Co. back in time. Meaning, the events of the later Sonic Games(Advenure-now)take place in our time, and then Sonic & Co. return home to Mobius in their time (ex. the comics)Scythethehedgehog 17:33, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Well, by the way I play, I believe there was no Mobius in the computer games and that the games are based on an alternative world where rocks in the shape of loops are natual. As for comics and cartoon Mobius, each have there own differences and you could say possibly branching out froma common period in time. Sonic Underground is probably an alternate timeline after SatAM where Sonic teams with his family than his Freedom Fighting friends.--Mystic Monkey 11:48, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Really it's just another case of convoluted continuity. The actual games always took place on Earth. It wasn't until DiC made the various Sonic cartoons that the planet Sonic lived on was referred to as Mobius. Another theory about the Mobius name is that it was a name given by one of the game designers through a mistranslation of an interview. Either way, the name stuck for every Sonic cartoon, excluding Sonic X and the Sonic OVA. Seeing how the Archie Comics are based on SatAM, the world is known as Mobius. Also, it's important to mention that the name of Sonic's planet was never mentioned in Sonic X, although it is usually hinted as being Mobius. So, just follow the whole planet idea from your point of view based on the out of whack continuity. --SilentRider639 11:00 October 12 2008 (UTC)

It's all about how you support the Sonic fandom. I watch the cartoons, I cannot get Archie in my country but I would of subscribed if I could but eitherway my personal theory is that Mobius never existed, just Sonic lives in a seperate timeline to ours but same planet, just with different features. I don't think too hard on why there are humanoid animals, wierd rock formations and gravity on Sonics world, I just know it's based on "Earth", just not our version. That is how I support Sonic. The closest you will find me refering to Mobius is the term "Mobian" which is the furries way of telling Sonic, friends and fan characters apart, but I rarely use the term.--Mystic Monkey 22:56, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

I just call it Earth. Sonic and pals live on Earth. But, an alternate Earth. It's a game series. I see the loops and chekered ground as something that is simply part of the Sonic series. The same way Mario has pipes laying around and trees with eyes. The same way Zelda has jewels inside of grass. I see all off those worlds as "Earth", but just series-exclusive versions of Earth.E123Brawler Ω 23:08, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
